Today is a day I should mark on the calendar. It's the day I'm convinced I will be a success in
film. Not for the money, but to be my own boss, to create my own
fate. I missed an audition because I was at a job interview at a
tech support call center. They put me on the phone with an agent
to listen to typical calls. So an hour in I didn't even see the
interviewer! so I rushed to the location I was suppose to meet
Rachel. they took off without me and I called the casting
director. "We are too busy to reschedule. Send me a photo and
acting resume" Fuck might as well give me the kiss of death.
(As I was writing this Rachel told me it wasn't worth the trip.)
Anyway today I will form a plan to build a production company. Get
in the Film Summit and pitch my feature like mad.
THE PICTURE IS GOING AHEAD, I'm a 1000% positive, hell or high
water. $5000 dollar budget or $125000. 5000 is a minimum for a 6
weekend shoot for craft services. $125000 is a small independent
feature estimate if I pay everybody. If it is volunteer (NB Film
Coop style) there will be valid deferral contacts that will mean
something. It will take a year after production in the film
festival circuit, but I guarantee dividends from being my own
distributor. I have a long fuse, but today's running around for
nothing is not my idea of living. I want to live on my on time.
wanna talk to me? YOU see me on my schedule!
"One Wheel for Canada" will be on-line shortly, the
greatest internet marketing ploy for a film since "Blair
Witch Project".

2008 so far has been a time of change and working at
what I like to do best: writing. I've acted in a few
interesting shorts and starred in a production of my own: Ask
Ug. Ask Ug is a departure from horror and into comedy. Soon I
will be in an experimental film where I play a man-potato... should
be fun. I've been keeping busy with writing a feature comedy too:
One Wheel for Canada. With Pierre Huard help we intend to
shoot this mammoth next summer. I'm getting feedback from writers
now and then I'll jump to second draft soon. I have interesting
strategies to shoot it 100% in NB even though the characters trek
across Canada.
my view is now that we have trained professionals in
film in NB, we need content. I can spew a script every 3 months,
seriously!
